OUGD502 - Australian Architecture


Whilst Studying some of the architecture around Australia, I seemed to notice a reoccurrence with extremely modernist designs. However, the house above really caught my eye as its curved art deco theme gives the building a sort of post modern aesthetic even though it holds values of modernist architecture such as being true to its materials.

The image below for example, is a typical house which is found on most of the streets in Australia. These usually follow the same guide lines being extremely conformitive and structured in modernist values.
