OUGD502 - TT Gainz Menu Design

After the photoshoot for 'TT Fitness' gym wear. The founder also told me about a sister company which was being set up called 'TT Gainz' which focuses on protein filled gym food which is prepared and then delivered to the customers house on a weekly basis. Therefore, he asked me to design a front and back for a menu design using the written draft below as my base.

Below are the final designs for the menu

OUGD502 - TT Fitness Photoshoot - Industry Experience

Through my photography work with 'Ruger Barber', my details have been passed onto an emerging sports and gym wear brand, 'TT Fitness'. The founder and CEO has approached me to conduct a photoshoot using male models to showcase some of his products. The photoshoot which I planned was intended to be gritty and urban which I believe I accomplished by using mainly run down mills. I also conducted some of the photographs inside a gym to put the products into context.

Some of my graphical capabilities have also been utilised by applying the logo onto some of the images.

OUGD502 - New Art Supplies & Expanding Upon OUGD406 Currency Ideas

Whilst I visited 'Calder Graphics' I came across this traditional Japanese typography set. It really got me thinking about my final currency project in OUGD406 and how I could have possibly improved the experimentation and authenticity side of my design. This set could have even been extremely useful in the presentation of the note and could have been used when photographing my final piece for my online portfolio. I find that it is always important to reflect upon past projects and always be thinking about how you have learned from it and how you could improve upon it on future similar projects. Therefore, I purchased the brush set. Even if I do not get the opportunity to use this set whilst I am still studying at university, you never know when this unique piece could come in useful during my whole career in the creative industries as a working professional.

OUGD502 - Exhibition Flyers

Outside the 'Calder Graphics' art store in Huddersfield, there was a selection of flyers for upcoming events on display. I intend to possibly revisit Huddersfield for some of these exhibitions and shows. Living in Leeds and being born in Manchester, I rarely visit any other cities however, I feel as though visiting Huddersfield has opened up my creative influences vastly. I have effectively opened up so much more opportunity for myself within the creative industries especially because Huddersfield is not far from Leeds at all giving me the opportunity to possibly visit any of these events very easily.

I am now really starting to understand the importance of branching out as much as possible, I hope that this experience will encourage me to visit other cities in the near future.

OUGD502 - Calder Graphics Art Store Visit

Whilst on a day out in Huddersfield, I stumbled upon an art supplies store called 'Calder Graphics'. This art store mainly focuses on a huge range of paints, oils, pens, pencils and stock which make it a great store to come for any fine art or manual projects which I may complete in the future. It also gave me the opportunity to get talking with the friendly staff about local artists and upcoming events in and around Huddersfield. I got the names of a few new interesting designers who I now follow on my social media accounts for possible future inspiration.

OUGD502 - Photography for The Little Deerhill Catering Company' Website

Through the recent graphics work at the 'One World Cafe', the catering company who uses the kitchen has also asked me to complete some work for their external catering company. This work however has been purely photographical whilst cooperating and collaborating with their web designer  to make sure that all of the shots work well with the design layout of the website. The job entailed going along to a venue where a buffet was being catered for, and taking various professional photographs of the food which was being presented.

The edited photographs are now in use on the 'Little Deerhill Catering Company' website as well as their Facebook and social media pages.

OUGD502 - One World Cafe - Graphics Industry Work

I have recently been hired by a small cafe in Oldham to create a banner design for their new opening. The cafe was located inside a small chapel and was in serious need of a rebrand therefore, I used some of my photography inside the cafe to create the banner designs below. The banners are now printed and located across from a busy roundabout which will hopefully give my work more noticeability by a large amount of people each day. The work was not the most exciting graphics project however, it feels amazing to see my work in large and being applied to real work situations.
